OpenAMQ licensing FAQ

Any registered Wikidot user can edit or create a FAQ.

What license is OpenAMQ released under?

The OpenAMQ server is licensed under the GPLv3. The WireAPI libraries are licensed under the BSD license.

Does this mean my applications are GPL-infected?

No. You can freely link the BSD-licensed WireAPI libraries with any application without impact. This is the normal intended use of the product. Only if you distribute works derived from the OpenAMQ server do you need to consider the impact of the GPL license.
